Happy Birthday Boo-Radley

Thanksgiving..

This sums up our Thanksgiving. Grandma had had it, and just went for the bottle. Kidding. By the way, I am sorry that I am blogging about Thanksgiving in January.
Matt was a bit late..but nonetheless enjoyed his feast.

Mand surprised us and came home.

And miss Caitlee lost another bottom tooth.

Grandpa Buchanan's 92nd Birthday!

This was a sweet day! Almost all of our Buchanan family gathered at Grandma and Grandpa's house for Grandpa's 92nd Birthday. We sang to Grandpa, Brian played Happy Birthday on the bagpipes and we gave Grandpa lots of loves. He looked great!

It also turned into a pre-party for the Utah/BYU game that started that afternoon at 4 pm. Even though our partriarch Grandpa is a BYU fan, most of his descendents have chosen to go with red. Lib and Brad were in green, remaining neutral. Here are many, many pictures. We missed you.
Of course to make the day even sweeter, Utah 48 BYU 24 ..

Erie, Round 2

Aly, our trip to Erie was so nice. When we flew into Cleveland, we were able to stop by and visit Bridgett. It was so nice to see her and meet her two boys, Porter and Hyatt. Her new baby is due in February and it is a girl! Her house was darling and I was just so happy to see her after such a long time.
We had lovely weather our first few days there. We were able to go walking and running along the trail on the peninsula of Lake Erie. Miles had fun walking with us.

This was a Sunday afternoon walk.

The leaves were brilliant and so was Miles.
It really didn't matter what Miles did, whether it was bath time, playing, sleeping, singing or even the naughty corner, we were just happy to see him, and of course happy to see Dave and Cicely too.

It did turn rainy and cold on the second to last day we were there, but it didn't stop Miles from wanting to go outside.

Just chillin in his little chair with his awesome slippers, watching cars.

The bad weather gave us a chance to stay inside and get the kitchen all painted..goodbye to dark maroon and hello to sunny yellow. Sorry..these pictures are kind of dark..it really did look so good and brightened up the kitchen a lot.

We celebrated Davey's 27th Birthday three weeks early. We had special cake that Miles could eat that was super good and opened presents (mostly shirts for school) and played a rousing game of Phase 10 late into the night.

Cicely and David...they are the best. Read this if you want to cry.

Here is another little project that Dad worked on while we were visiting. He fixed a window to the garage that had broken in July and made a new frame. It looked so great. On our way home we stopped in Kirtland to see the temple and finish seeing the other sites that we missed when we went in July. This is looking out of the sawmill.

In front of the Kirtland Temple.

Looking at me feverishly writing you on the flight home. 75 Aly, mark my words.
